If you see a tire pressure light come on your dashboard, it probably means you have one or more tires that needs air. That’s not always the case, though, as there could be another reason. Here are some other reasons your tire pressure light might come on.
Tire pressure sensors can malfunction or stop working, so an illuminated tire pressure light could be a symptom of that. Tires also sometimes have dips in pressure when the air is cold. This is more likely to happen in the morning. If the light comes on but goes off after a bit, that could be the cause.
If you have a tire pressure light on, you need to check the pressure in your tires. If your tire pressure is fine but the light stays on, have it checked out.
Our professional staff at Mike Bell Chevrolet in Carrollton, GA can check your tire sensors to see if they need to be replaced.
