At Mike Bell Chevrolet, most of our customers know that talking on the phone while driving is a bad idea. But countless drivers in Carrollton engage in distracted driving every day without realizing it. Here’s just a few of the ways you could be putting yourself and other drivers on the road in danger.

We’ve all been there: you’re hungry and don’t have time to stop for lunch, so you grab a burger and eat on the way. This kind of behavior is so common that it’s become socially acceptable. But just because it’s common doesn’t mean it’s safe.

Eating and drinking on the road can drastically increase your risk of getting into a car accident. When you’re trying to eat or drink with one hand and steer with the other, you’re not giving the road your full attention. And if someone pulls out in front of you, you might not have time to react.
